What I have been doing this week.

Each week is its own adventure.  Here are just a few of the things I have been doing over the past seven days.

I got to watch on as Cameron and his Webelos Den performed the flag ceremony for their school's Veterans Day program.

Our Beagle, Koda, had her first litter of puppies on Thursday.  She gave birth to seven little cuties, four girls and three boys.  She did an amazing job.  Each of my boys got to witness at least one birth.  I thought they might be discusted, but they thought it was pretty "cool".  Their only question came as Koda removed the sack and bit the umbilical cord.  "People don't eat that do they?"  both Cameron and Brett asked.  No boys, we aren't that primitive!  As I watched this first time Mom get right to work the second that first puppy was born, I found myself wondering, "What did Eve do?"  I'm grateful I had other women in my life to teach me and medical personel around to help me as I first entered (and re entered, and reentered, and double reentered) the world of mother hood!

I finished making these adorable (if I do say so myself) soft baby bassinets and matching blankies to give to my 'baby' girls to use with their own babies this christmas.  (On a side note, can I just say that Christmas feels great this year.  Last month we were able to check off 'baby step two' from Dave Ramsey's Total Money Makeover.  It feels amazing!!!)

Sorry, I don't know how to turn this picture around to the right direction...definitely a bi-product of being a new and inexperienced blogger!

Last, but not least, I finished reading "The Middle Moffat" with my boys.  When Rob's grandma passed away last spring, I was able to pick a few books from her collection.   This one caught my eye, though I had never heard of it before.  We all loved it.  It took us into a world of simpler times in a simple, yet complex life of a child.   Great read, Great times!
